Release time: January 25, 2026 | Information source: Anhui Science and Technology News

On January 25, at the Shenbi Biotech (Hefei) Scientific Research Practice and Education Base, an industrial practice integrating cutting-edge technology and basic education was quietly implemented. Hefei Shenbi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. officially launched China's first standardized research product system based on synthetic biology and gene editing technology. The press conference also completed the awarding of certificates by the Science Popularization, Culture, Tourism and Research Committee of the Anhui Science Popularization Culture Industry Association and the signing of multiple strategic cooperation agreements, marking that technological achievements in this field have entered a new stage of large-scale and standardized application. Nearly a hundred industry insiders from fields such as study, culture and tourism, and quality education witnessed the event together.

From laboratory to classroom, technological achievements fill the gap in standardization

"In the context of the country incorporating biomanufacturing into its future industrial strategy, synthetic biology is the core driving force, and its long-term development is inseparable from the early cultivation of the talent base." Li Renhan, founder and chairman of Shenbi Biotech, emphasized in his speech that the company's transformation of technological advantages into standardized educational products is a practice of "education first" and reserves potential talents for future industries.

The "Glowing Biology" standardized learning product kit, which debuted on site, includes two core courses, "The Plants I Raise Can Glow" and "Elves Escape from the Deep Sea" and supporting teaching aids. It aims to transform complex technologies such as gene editing and microbial fermentation into inquiry practices suitable for primary and secondary school students.

The press conference was simultaneously held with the "Member Unit" awarding ceremony of the Science Popularization, Culture, Tourism and Research Committee of the Anhui Science Popularization and Culture Industry Association. Sun Peilan, director of the special committee, was present in person to award the license. She said in an interview: "Shenbi Biotechnology has made a solid attempt to promote the transformation of scientific and technological innovation resources into popular science education. The license is intended to encourage it to continue to explore new paths for the integration of technology and education."

At the same time as the press conference, more than 60 groups of parent-child families participated in the in-depth experience of the research course at the base. Under the guidance of instructors, the children completed the cultivation and observation experiments of luminous organisms. Cutting-edge technology was transformed into intuitive and interactive teaching scenes, which made the audience gasp in surprise.

"It's so shocking! I feel like a little scientist, creating the light of life." He Yunheng, a student from Class 6 (3) of the Yugang Branch of Yuanshangyuan Primary School in Hefei City, shared excitedly after the experience. "I have only seen luminous creatures in books and movies before, and I thought they were very sci-fi and far away. Today I did it myself and saw that the petri dish really emits a faint fluorescence, as if I had stepped into a science fiction movie! I think science can really make the world a wonderful place."

Parents of other students also added: "My child is usually interested in natural science, but rarely has the opportunity to be exposed to such cutting-edge content. This experience not only stimulated his curiosity, but also gave him a real sense of biotechnology. I hope that such research products can be introduced to more campuses."

Starting from research students, building a "technology +" diverse ecology

At the event site, Shenbi Biotech signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Anhui Faxiaomeng Media Co., Ltd., and completed signings with customer representatives such as DaDao China Enterprise (Beijing) Culture Technology Co., Ltd. and Yiwu Huanzhi Greening Co., Ltd. at the site. The product marketization has entered a substantial stage.

Li Renhan revealed in the interview that standardized research products are only the starting point. In the future, the company will use its synthetic biology technology platform as a support to expand into areas such as cultural tourism, night travel, biophototherapy and creative consumption, and plans to launch standardized product solutions for each track.

This press conference showed that Shenbi Biotech is trying to build an application ecosystem with core technology as the engine, standardized products as the tentacles, and co-construction with multi-industry partners. Its subsequent development may provide a new practical model for the innovation of the regional biotechnology industry and the "Technology +" integration model.

From the exhibition of achievements at the National Museum of Natural History to the launch of standardized educational products today, Shenbi Biology has completed a key leap from technology display to industrial empowerment. And in the children's surprised eyes and hands-on practice, perhaps the first glimmer of the future biotechnology industry is being nurtured.
