Synthetic biology R&D engineer
- Job responsibilities
- - Familiar with major bioinformatics and enzyme engineering-related databases (such as NCBI, Enzyme Database, PDB, etc.), and be able to efficiently utilize these resources for scientific research;
- - Familiar with the principles of enzyme engineering, with experience in machine learning optimization and directional transformation of enzymes, able to use computational tools to predict the properties and functions of enzymes, and design and optimize the structure and performance of enzymes;
- -In-depth understanding of enzymatic structures, experience in structural analysis and functional research of enzymes, and the ability to use molecular biology and biochemical techniques to explore the catalytic mechanism and substrate specificity of enzymes to explore new pathways;
- - Complex vector construction: Familiar with vector construction technologies (such as Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate Assembly, etc.), and have experience in successfully constructing complex vectors (such as multi-gene expression vectors, ultra-large vectors);
- -Have good teamwork spirit and communication skills, and be able to effectively collaborate with team members from different backgrounds to jointly promote the progress of the project.
- Qualifications
- -Master's degree or above: majoring in synthetic biology, metabolic engineering, bioengineering, molecular biology, bioinformatics and other related fields;
- - Proficient in vector construction technology or microbial chassis construction and metabolic engineering;
- - Proficient in using bioinformatics tools (SnapGene, PDB, NCBI) or AI-assisted design platform.
- Remark
- - Applicants with experience in the industrialization of synthetic biology (such as biomanufacturing, agricultural/medical applications) are preferred;
- - Those who have been engaged in research on luminescent plants in the past, which can effectively improve the brightness of plants and change the color of their luminescence, and have an academic background in AI + synthetic biology will be given priority (this is a bonus).
