Relying on its self-constructed bioluminescence technology system and using gene editing technology, the company successfully integrated bioluminescent genes existing in nature and implanted them into plants, achieving a breakthrough in achieving endogenous and continuous luminescence in plants, marking a critical first step in the industrialization of bioluminescence technology in my country.
Relying on the self-constructed bioluminescence technology system, the R&D team made a major breakthrough in this field in 2024 and successfully built the world's first plant bioluminescence system with completely independent intellectual property rights. Through species gene editing and integration in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) and sunflower (Helianthus annuus), the coupling effect of the chloroplast light energy conversion system and the luciferase metabolic pathway is achieved. At present, a standardized production system from tissue culture seedlings to adult plants has been established, forming three major product lines of "urban landscape - ecological scene - home gardening", marking the official entry of bioluminescence technology into the stage of large-scale application.
